In 2016, over 37,500 people left Illinois, which puts Illinois population the lowest it has been in a decade. The common reason people left the state were high taxes, the budget stalemate & the unemployment rate.   Illinois currently ranks 4th in states with the highest combined sales & income tax rates.  When you combine that with the fact that Illinois ranks as the 2nd worst run state in the nation, it is easy to see that we have a problem.

I want to take control of our income, state and property taxes.  Any raise in taxes should reflect the same decrease.  Taxpayers should not be burdened with additional taxes that are already unaffordable.  If lawmakers want to impose a tax increase, a cut has to be made in conjunction with the increase.
